Seared Ahi Tuna Salad



A light salad featuring ahi tuna, greens, onion, and sunflower seeds topped with a sweet and tangy Asian-flavored vinaigrette. 



2 Tbsp. Robert Rothschild Farm Honey Sesame Sauce
4 Tbsp. Soy sauce
2 tsp. Vegetable oil
1/2 lb. Ahi tuna, sushi grade
2 Tbsp.  Robert Rothschild Farm Honey Sesame Sauce
2 Tbsp. Rice vinegar
1 Tbsp. Lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
6-10 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 Arugula
1 Red onion
As desired Sunflower seeds





In bowl, mix Honey Sesame Sauce, soy sauce, and oil. Add tuna and marinade 30-45 minutes. Heat oil in frying pan. Sear tuna about 1 minute to brown (remove from heat, do not cook through).


Mix Honey Sesame Sauce, vinegar, lime juice and salt and pepper. Slowly add oil to this mixture while whisking through vigorously. Arrange arugula on plate. Drizzle over arugula. Arrange red onions over greens. Slice seared tuna and top salad. Sprinkle sunflower seeds and serve.
