Ingredients
- 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef,
- 1 cup large Onion, chopped,
- 1 cup small Green Bell Pepper, chopped,
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced,
- 1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper,
- 2 Tbsp. Chili Powder,
- Salt to taste,
- 1/2 cup Robert Rothschild Roasted Red Pepper and Onion Sauce,
- 8 oz. Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded,
- 8 oz. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 6 Hoagie Buns, split
Instructions
In a large pan, cook ground beef with chili powder, black pepper, salt, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic over mediumhigh heat until meat is browned and vegetables are tender, using a spatula or wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks. Stir in Roasted Red Pepper and Onion Sauce. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring occasionally. To serve, fill buns with meat mixture, monterey jack cheese, and cheddar cheese.
Optional: Pair this meal with sweet potato fries or your favorite side dish!
