Crock Pot Roast

  • 3 lbs. Chuck roast
  • Onion, sliced
  • Carrot, peeled, cut into large pieces
  • Baby red potatoes, whole
  • Turnips, peeled, halved
  • 1 jar Robert Rothschild Farm Mushroom Trio Marinade & Simmer Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Red wine

Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear chuck roast on all sides. Place chuck roast in crock pot. Arrange onion, carrots, potatoes and turnips around the meat evenly.

Mix together the Mushroom Trio Marinade & Simmer Sauce and red wine and pour over the meat and vegetables. Turn crock pot on high for 1 1/2 hours, then reduce to low and cook for 4-6 hours until meat is fork tender.

To serve, place chuck roast in the middle of a platter and arrange vegetables around. Ladle simmer sauce over top of chuck roast.
