Raspberry Cream Pie

This cream pie is made all the better with the inclusion of our Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 8 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. Water
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • Directions
    1. Cream Filling: Combine sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Add 3 cups milk, stirring constantly while cooking on medium heat until thick. Add beaten eggs and remaining milk. Continue to stir and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Let cool.
    2. Raspberry Filling: Mix cornstarch and water. Bring the Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce to a low boiling point. Add cornstarch and water stirring for another minute. Layer the pudding about 1 inch thick on the bottom of a 9 inch baked pie crust.
    3. Put the raspberry filling on top of the pudding and top off with cool whip.
