Raspberry Bavarian

A wonderful angel food cake dessert recipe featuring our Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 large Angel food cake, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 10 oz. Frozen raspberries
  • 1 envelope Unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup Cold water
  • 1/2 cup Boiling water
  • 3 cups Whipping cream
  • 3 Tbsp. Powdered sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 jar Robert Rothschild Farm Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce
  • Directions
    1. In a medium bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let set for 5 minutes. Stir in boiling water until gelatin dissolves. Add Red Raspberry Gourmet Sauce to water/gelatin mixture. Refrigerate until gelatin is slightly thickened and then beat until foamy.
    2. In a separate mixing bowl, beat 1 cup whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Fold into gelatin mixture. Stir in drained frozen raspberries.
    3. Line a large mixing bowl lined with plastic wrap. Alternate layers of cake cubes and raspberry mixture. Press down lightly. Refrigerate overnight. Unmold cake onto serving plate. Beat remaining whipping cream with sugar and vanilla. Frost cake with whipping cream.
