Potato Gratin with Mustard Gruyere

A perfect potato side dish featuring our Champagne Garlic Mustard.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. Baking potatoes, peeled, cut into thin slices
  • 3 tsp. Thyme leaves
  • 12 oz. Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1 1/3 cups Chicken stock
  • 1 1/3 cups Whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Champagne Garlic Mustard
  • To taste Onions, grated
  • Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Butter 13X9 baking dish. Spread 1/2 of potato slices over bottom of dish. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with 1 tsp. of thyme and 1/3 of cheese. Repeat layering twice.
    2. In small bowl whisk together the chicken stock, whipping cream and Champagne Garlic Mustard. Pour over potatoes in baking dish. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until tender and top is crusty and brown.
    3. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Yields 8.
