Pizza Burgers

Two great foods - pizza and burgers - come together for this recipe that features our Vodka Pasta Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic salt
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz. Robert Rothschild Farm Vodka Pasta Sauce
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or margarine
  • 4 Hamburger buns, split
  • Directions
    1. In a bowl, combine beef and garlic salt. Shape into eight patties; top four of the patties with cheese. Cover with remaining patties; press edges to seal. Refrigerate.
    2. In a saucepan, cover and simmer the Vodka Pasta Sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    3. In a skillet, sauté onion in butter until tender; set aside. Pan-fry, grill or broil burgers until no longer pink.
    4. Spread bottoms of buns with a little Vodka Pasta Sauce; top with burgers, onion and remaining Vodka Pasta Sauce. Replace tops. Serves 4.
