Mexican Pizza

This tasty mexican pizza features our Tomatillo & Pepper Salsa.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. Chili powder
  • 1 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Tomatillo & Pepper Salsa
  • 1 package Pizza dough
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • Sour cream
  • 1 large Tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup Black olives, sliced
  • Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Brown ground beef in a large frying pan. Drain excess grease. Add cumin, chili powder and Tomatillo & Pepper Salsa and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, roll pizza dough out on a baking stone or a baking pan. Spread ground beef mixture over pizza dough. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes until crust is lightly browned and crisped and cheese is melted.
    3. Remove from oven and top with the shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes and black olives. Slice and serve.
    4. Helpful Hint: Scoop sour cream into a squeeze bottle and add a little milk to thin out. Then squeeze out in stripes over pizza.
