Irish Cream Caramel Apple Tarts

This tasty apple tart is given some added flavor with Bailey's Irish Cream and our Old-Fashioned Caramel Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package Puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 2 cups Apples, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Old-Fashioned Caramel Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. Bailey's Irish Cream
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place one pastry sheet on a prepared pan. Refrigerate.
    2. Place a medium heavy saute pan over medium high heat, add raisins and apples. Saute about 5 minutes for apples to begin to soften. Add Old-Fashioned Caramel Sauce, and continue to cook another 5 minutes. Add the Irish cream and about an eighth of a teaspoon of grated nutmeg.
    3. Remove to a plate and cool completely. When apples are cool, pour apples and raisins into center of pastry, reserving some of the caramel sauce. Begin folding the pastry over the apples, keeping the center open. Brush pastry with remaining sauce.
    4. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until tart is puffed and crust is golden brown. Allow to sit, then remove to a serving platter, removing the parchment paper.
