Fish N Chip Appetizer

A wonderful appetizer consisting of potatoes, white fish and our Horseradish Tartar Sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 Potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb. Halibut, Cod or other white fish
  • 1/4 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Horseradish Tartar Sauce
  • Directions
    1. Slice potatoes in very thin round slices using a mandolin or knife. Should be thin like a potato chip. Halfway from the center, make a cut on each potato slice at the top and the bottom. Spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray or rub with olive oil on a paper towel.
    2. Place a potato slice inside each muffin cavity and season with salt and pepper. The 2 cuts will help form a cup shape.
    3. Bake in a 375 degrees F oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned and crisp.
    4. Meanwhile, place fish in a baking dish. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Place in the oven with potatoes and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and flake into medium chunks with a fork.
    5. To serve, fill each potato chip cup with some flaked fish. Place a small dollop of Horseradish Tartar Sauce on top of the fish. Alternatively, you could mix the Horseradish Tartar Sauce into the flaked fish before filling cups.
