Brisket in Hogs Clothing

A fun recipe featuring our Maple Balsamic Dressing with Bleu Cheese and Rosemary Oil Infused with Fresh Rosemary.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Beef brisket
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Rosemary Oil Infused with Fresh Rosemary
  • 2 cups Baking potatoes, cut into large chunks
  • 1 each Cabbage, wedged
  • 1 cup Celery, diced
  • 1 each Onion, peeled, quartered
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Robert Rothschild Farm Maple Balsamic Dressing with Bleu Cheese
  • Directions
    1. Roll brisket roast in flour and reserve remaining flour. Brown brisket on all sides in Rosemary Oil on medium heat.
    2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Remove brisket and place in roaster. Add remaining flour to hot oil and cook for two minutes, stirring constantly until nutty aroma occurs.
    3. Stir in water and remove from heat. Add potatoes, onion and celery in roaster. Cover with liquid from pan.
    4. Cook for 2 hours covered, remove cover and add Sweet Ham Glaze and cabbage. Cook covered for 30 more minutes.
    5. Uncover and cook for 15-20 more minutes until meat is slightly candied. Serve.
